This unique volunteer opportunity is designed exclusively for college students completing course-required service learning or internship hours through a pre-approved assignment with the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati. As a College Service Learning Volunteer, you’ll be placed at a designated YMCA branch for a contracted term during the academic year. Your role will be tailored to align with both your academic goals and personal passions, while supporting the Y’s mission to strengthen community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Volunteer activities will vary and may include programming support, community outreach, youth engagement, or wellness initiatives—each designed in collaboration with your branch supervisor. Scheduling is flexible and determined on a case-by-case basis. Eligibility Requirements: You must be a current college student seeking credit through a formal course or program. You must have completed an interview with either: *Jack Estael, Community Executive Director of Central Parkway YMCA, or *Stephanie Togneri, Sr. Director of Volunteer Engagement, YMCA of Greater Cincinnati. Volunteering with the Y Serving at the Y means more than just fulfilling course hours—it’s about joining a movement dedicated to strengthening our community. As a volunteer, you become part of a team working to create a healthier, more inclusive, and connected future. Together, we make a lasting impact. To Register: Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the blue "Volunteer" button. From there, create your account. A YMCA staff member will contact you shortly to begin the conversation and help you take the next steps in your volunteer journey.
