R.C. Durr - Senior Centers

Volunteers greets seniors when they arrive at the Senior Center and assist the staff in answering questions and making our members feel welcome and informed. They provide general information both in person & on the phone. They also give tours and ensure new people get Napis forms/guest waivers to completed. Volunteer opportunities are available Monday-Friday, 8:30-2:30pm. HOW TO REGISTER: A. First, Schedule an INTERVIEW: Scroll down to HOLD A POSITION and click on the blue VOLUNTEER button next to Senior Center Helper - I'm Interested in Volunteering! A member of the Senior Center Staff will reach out to you to schedule an interview to discuss the volunteer role and training necessary. B. Then, you will be scheduled a Position AFTER your interview: Once your interview is complete and you are assigned the position, a Y Staff Member will register you in the HOLD A POSITION - Senior Center Helper - Assigned project. Your Y staff supervisor will work with you to set up your schedule and your orientation. Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Y and the Skees Senior Center.
