Looking for a fun and rewarding way to get involved? Join us as a Swim Lesson Assistant and help young swimmers gain confidence in the water! We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support our swim instructors and create a positive learning experience for all. What You'll Do: As a Swim Lesson Side Kick, you'll play a key role in each lesson by: 🏊 Tracking Progress: Help monitor swimmers' skills and celebrate their achievements. 🏊 Encouraging Safety: Ensure everyone follows pool rules and stays safe. 🏊 Celebrating Success: Cheer on every milestone. 🏊 Supporting Swimmers: Join them in the water or keep them engaged on the sidelines while waiting for their turn. Who We're Looking For: 🤩 Enthusiastic: You bring positive energy to every lesson. 🤩 Reliable: You show up ready to support swimmers and instructors. 🤩 Patient: You understand that learning takes time. 🤩 Friendly: You enjoy connecting with swimmers, parents, and staff. Volunteer hours are flexible and available 5 days a week. HOW TO REGISTER: A. First, Schedule an INTERVIEW: Scroll down to HOLD A POSITION—Swim Lesson Volunteer—I'm Interested! and click on the blue VOLUNTEER button. A member of the Volunteer Staff will contact you to schedule a conversation to discuss the volunteer role, necessary background checks, and training. B. Then, the Y Staff will assign you a Position on the Swim Lesson Crew: Once your conversation is complete, you will be assigned to the Swim Aerobics Crew and given a schedule and instructions on recording your hours when you arrive.
