Volunteers work alongside staff to provide a safe, nurturing environment which sparks children's imaginations and inspires fun and creative play while at Camp. Volunteers will enjoy the fun of camp while providing opportunities for Youth Development. Volunteers will be assigned to work with kids between the ages of 5-12. Volunteers will also be helpful for field trip chaperons. ☀️Camp Meet & Greet (2-4 volunteers) - May 18 from 2p-5:30p • Set-up and tear-down: 2-3p • Pass out camp t-shirts 3-5p • Record swim bands for Aquatics 3-5p 🔬Super Science Specialty Programs (1-2 volunteers) - June 16-20 from 1-4p daily (not Wednesday) • Assist with experiments, set-up, and clean-up 🎭Theater Specialty Programs (1-2 volunteers) - June 23-27 from 1-4p daily (not Wednesday) • Run theater games 👟Sports of All Sorts Sports Programs (3-4 volunteers) - June 23-27 from 1-4p daily (not Wednesday) • Run pickleball course (program basics, run a game) • Run volleyball course (program basics, run a game) 🥏Ultimate Frisbee Sports Programs (3-4 volunteers) - July 7-11 from 1-4p daily (not Wednesday) • Run Ultimate Frisbee drills • Teach basics of Ultimate Frisbee 🎨String Art Specialty Programs (1-2 volunteers) - July 7-11 from 1-4p daily (not Wednesday) • Lead art activities • Assist with set-up and clean-up HOW TO REGISTER: A. First, Schedule an INTERVIEW: Scroll down to HOLD A POSITION and click on the blue VOLUNTEER button next to Camp Outback Volunteer - I'm Interested in Volunteering! A member of the Camp Outback Staff will reach out to you to schedule an interview to discuss the volunteer role, necessary background check and training. B. Then, you will be scheduled a Position AFTER your interview: Once your interview is complete and you background check is complete, the Y staff will register you for the HOLD A POSITION - Camp Outback Volunteer- Assigned.
