A " Mother or Father Goose volunteer" is someone who would like to volunteer a little time by sharing fun stories to our YMCA Kids Club, by reading aloud, performing narrative tales, all on a volunteer basis to bring joy, engagement, and sometimes even educational value to the children. We are looking for engaging volunteers who want to give back to their community by reading with kids. HOW TO REGISTER: A. First, Schedule an INTERVIEW: Scroll down to HOLD A POSITION and click on the blue VOLUNTEER button. A member of the Volunteer Staff will reach out to you to schedule an interview to discuss the volunteer role, necessary background check and training. B. Then, the Y Staff will Assign you a Position on the Mother Goose Reading Team: Once your interview is complete, you will be assigned a position and given a schedule and instructions on how to record your hours when you arrive, and training for your individual activity.
