Campaign Volunteers help strengthen the Y’s Annual Campaign and connect more people to the programs and opportunities it makes possible. There’s more than one way to get involved. Whether you enjoy connecting with people, showing appreciation, sharing the impact of the Y, or helping spread the word, you choose the role that feels right for you. What Campaign Volunteers Do: - Thank donors. Call or write to people who have already given. No ask—just gratitude. It’s a simple and meaningful way to get started. - Share the impact. Help others understand what their support makes possible by sharing stories and examples from your Y community. - Spread the word. Share campaign posts, forward an email, or talk about the campaign with people in your community. - Make calls. If you enjoy connecting with people, we’ll provide names, guidance, and support to help you get started. - Make the ask—if you want to. Asking for donations is just one way to help, and it’s completely your choice. You choose how you want to help. You’ll never be assigned a fundraising role you aren’t comfortable with. We’ll Support You Along the Way You won’t be handed a script and expected to figure it out on your own. Every volunteer receives the Campaigner Playbook and training, and Y staff will be there to provide guidance, resources, and support throughout the campaign. Ready to Get Started? A Y staff member will follow up to talk through the ways you’d like to help, scheduling, and any questions you may have. Before You Start: Please complete the Volunteer Relationship Agreement and Liability Waiver. Commitment: Ongoing and flexible—you set the pace. Sometimes you lift. Sometimes you’re lifted.
