Do you enjoy helping others and have a passion for health and wellness? As a YMCA Ambassador Volunteer, you’ll be one of the friendly faces that makes our fitness center feel welcoming, comfortable, and supportive for every member who walks through the door. Volunteers greet members as they arrive, offer encouragement, and help them feel confident using cardio and strength equipment. You’ll assist with basic machine setup, share general fitness guidance, and be a positive presence for members who may be new to exercise or returning after time away. Your support can make a big difference in helping someone feel successful, motivated, and included. This position is perfect if you have a joyful personality and enjoy helping others. While volunteer hours are flexible, we are specifically looking for help during the following times: Monday - Friday: 8am - 12pm, 5pm - 8pm Saturday: 7am - 10am Sunday: 12pm - 3pm HOW TO REGISTER: A. First, Schedule an INTERVIEW: Scroll down to HOLD A POSITION and click on the blue VOLUNTEER button next to YMCA Ambassador - I'm Interested! A member of the Staff will reach out to you to schedule an interview to discuss the volunteer role, necessary background check and training. B. Then, you will be scheduled a Position AFTER your interview: Once your interview is complete and you are assigned the position, a Y Staff Member will register you in the HOLD A POSITION - YMCA Ambassador- Assigned project.
