Ever dream about being in the final four? Dreams need to start somewhere! Share your passion about basketball with players, ages 4-12, this summer! We have many volunteer opportunities for our summer basketball program. Coaches are needed to teach the fundamentals of basketball, good sportsmanship and to lead their teams in practice and in games. The season will run from June 1 - July 25. There are two different types of teams to coach: Teams 1-2 will play one day a week. They will practice for 30 minutes and then play their game for 30 minutes that same day. Teams 3-12 will play TWO times a week: They will practice for 45 minute on a weeknight and play their games on another day. HOW TO REGISTER: 1. If you received an invitation to coach and have spoken to Zach Lucus, Sports Director, scroll down to HOLD A POSITION and select BASKETBALL COACH - ASSIGNED BY Y STAFF and click the blue volunteer button to register. 2. If you have not spoken to a Y Staff member: Scroll down to HOLD A POSITION and click on the blue VOLUNTEER button with BASKETBALL COACH- I'M INTERESTED IN COACHING! A member of the Volunteer Staff will reach out to you to schedule a time to discuss the volunteer role, necessary background check, training and logistics of the league.
