R.C. Durr - Senior Centers

Volunteers help pack food for seniors who are enrolled in the Federal Supplemental Food Program. Each program participant receives 2 bags of food that is packed and distributed at the senior center every month. This activity usually occurs on the third Monday of the month. HOW TO REGISTER: A. First, Schedule an INTERVIEW: Scroll down to HOLD A POSITION - Commodities Volunteer- I'm Interested! and click on the blue VOLUNTEER button. A member of the Volunteer Staff will reach out to you to schedule an interview to discuss the volunteer role, necessary background check and training. B. Then, the Y Staff will Assign you a Position on the Commodities Volunteer Team: Once your interview is complete, you will be assigned a position on the Commodities Team and be given a schedule for participation and instructions on how to record your hours when you arrive.
