M.E. Lyons YMCA
We're gearing up for the biggest celebration of the year, and we want YOU to be a part of it! Join the M.E. Lyons Y as we march proudly in the Fourth of July parade and showcase our community spirit! Bring your family! Let's deck out in red, white, and blue and spread joy and patriotism throughout the streets! We are excited to celebrate Independence Day with you at the upcoming Fourth of July parade! Please find below all the important updates and information you'll need for our participation: This year’s parade is planned to begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 4. It will follow the same route from Beechmont Fire Station #6 (the Anderson Township Operations Center), proceeding west on Beechmont, terminating at the Anderson Towne Center (Kroger). Meeting Location: We will be meeting at the Y at 8:30am to decorate the bus. Walkers can meet us at 10am behind the Sheriff's Office. 7970 Beechmont ave, Cincinnati OH 45255. Drop-off Locations: If you are being dropped off near the parade entrance, we recommend using the intersection of Ollies and Canes to utilize the existing traffic lights effectively. 7900 Beechmont Ave, Cincinnati, OH, 45255. Parking Options: YMCA Parking: If you plan to park at the YMCA, please notify Bridget Behrmann in advance, as soon as possible. Though there is limited transportation available, we will be taking a bus from the YMCA straight to our meet up point at Lot C. Beginning of Parade: Recommended parking locations near the beginning of the parade include Forestville Baptist (7-minute walk to the Sherriff's station), Currito (4-minute walk), and Immaculate Heart (8-minute walk). End of Parade: For parking located near the end of the parade, you can park at Anderson High School or Anderson Hills Church. A shuttle will run from these areas to the start of the parade from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM. Please note there is no shuttle service back to the starting point after the parade. Meeting Time: Regardless of how you arrive at our "float" location, please plan to meet at Lot C between 8:45 AM and 9:15 AM. As a gentle reminder, Beechmont traffic will close promptly at 9:30 AM, so punctuality is absolutely important. See you there!
