Pack to School Event Saturday, August 2nd Volunteers needed from 8:30am - 12:30pm, multiple shifts available. As part of our YMCA School Supply Drive, we’re hosting a Backpack Packing Day to prepare donated school supplies for distribution to local students in need. We’re calling on volunteers to help us sort supplies, fill backpacks, and get everything ready for the upcoming school year. Your time and energy will make a direct impact on children in our community, helping ensure they start the school year with confidence and the tools they need to succeed. Whether you can stay for an hour or the whole event, your support is appreciated! Volunteers of all ages are welcome—bring your friends, family, or coworkers and join us in making a difference! Volunteer shifts: Set-Up Crew, 8:30am – 10:00am, Help unload supplies, Set up packing stations, Organize items by type (folders, crayons, etc.) Backpack Stuffers, 9:45am – 11:15am, Fill backpacks according to supply lists, Restock supply tables as needed, Label and sort completed backpacks Wrap-Up & Delivery Prep, 11:00am – 12:30pm, Finalize packing, Organize backpacks by age/school, Help with light clean-up, Prep for distribution or storage Full Event Shift, 8:30am – 12:30pm, For volunteers who want to stay the entire time and help with all parts of the event TO REGISTER....
