🦋 Help us keep the YMCA campus blooming—for our members, mermaids, butterflies, and all! 🌼 Volunteers assist with planting, watering, weeding, and light garden care based on the season and your interests. Tasks span the entire YMCA grounds, including our beautiful , mermaid gardens. This is an excellent fit for anyone who enjoys being outdoors, wants to build gardening skills, or needs community service hours (non-court-ordered). Note: Youth under 12 must volunteer with a parent. HOW TO REGISTER: A. First, Schedule an INTERVIEW: Scroll down to HOLD A POSITION - Garden Volunteer - I'm Interested and click on the blue VOLUNTEER button. A member of the Volunteer Staff will reach out to you to schedule an interview to discuss the volunteer role, necessary and training. B. Then, the Y Staff will assign you a Position on the Garden Volunteer Team: Once your interview is complete, you will be assigned a position and given a schedule and instructions on how to record your hours when you arrive, and training for your individual activity.
