Facility Volunteers assist our YMCA Facility Technicians and Member Experience Staff in making our YMCA the most welcoming place. We are looking for volunteers to help with the beautification and maintenance of our facility. Volunteers complete a variety of tasks depending on personal interest and Y needs which may include sprucing up the lobby and fitness centers, assisting with towel service, outside beautification activities such as landscaping maintenance and other simple light maintenance tasks. This role is ideal for those wanting to provide positive customer service while lending a helping hand. It is also designed for community service hour seekers to fulfill school or non-legal requirements. HOW TO REGISTER: A. First, Schedule an INTERVIEW: Scroll down to HOLD A POSITION - Facility Volunteer - I'm Interested and click on the blue VOLUNTEER button. A member of the Volunteer Staff will reach out to you to schedule an interview to discuss the volunteer role, necessary background check and training. B. Then, the Y Staff will Assign you a Position on the Facility Volunteer Team: Once your interview is complete, you will be assigned a position and given a schedule and instructions on how to record your hours when you arrive, and training for your individual activity.
