Music Resource Center
Are you an artist? Have special talents that you would like to share with students? Passionate about music and want to share that passion with students? Volunteer Lesson Instructors at the Music Resource Center share their passion and skills with our students. Generally, volunteers donate their time one day a week, for at least 2-4 hour and teach 30 minute, weekly private lessons. Each student may be from a completely different walks of life, and have different musical interests, goals, and skill levels. Teachers excel at MRC by meeting each individual where he or she is and being open to creating a fun and educational learning experience for teens that makes them want to come back. Volunteer schedules may vary depending on the volunteer availability and student interest. MRC is open to our members 2-7 PM, Monday-Friday, and 12-6 PM in the summer. We are seeking Lesson Instructors for the following instruments: - Guitar - Piano - Bass - Drums/Percussion - Voice - Rap - Other Instruments: ukulele, brass, woodwinds, and strings TO REGISTER: Scroll to the bottom the screen and click on the blue VOLUNTEER button next to the project that interests you. A member of the MRC staff will be in touch with you shortly to discuss the volunteer tasks, schedules and to answer any questions you may have.
