Volunteers will assist the Swim Instructors during their classes. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in sharing their passion for aquatics. Seeking volunteers to help with safety around the water by providing an extra sets of arms and eyes in the pool as little ones learn the basics of how to swim. Volunteers also help set up and clean up equipment/pool deck as needed. Volunteers are fully trained and supervised by Swim Instructors at all times and provide assistance as needed. The Y is looking for volunteers who would like to share their joy of swimming with other members and friends. This position is perfect if you like kids, love the water and want to help others reach their goals of physical fitness. Volunteer hours are flexible and available 5 days a week. HOW TO REGISTER: A. First, Schedule an INTERVIEW: Scroll down to HOLD A POSITION - Swim Lessons Volunteer- I'm Interested! and click on the blue VOLUNTEER button. A member of the Volunteer Staff will reach out to you to schedule an interview to discuss the volunteer role, necessary background check and training. B. Then, the Y Staff will Assign you a Position on the Swim Lesson Volunteer Team: Once your interview is complete, you will be assigned a position as a Swim Lesson Volunteer and be given a schedule for participation and instructions on how to record your hours when you arrive.
