Highland County YMCA
Gardening Volunteers assist our YMCA Member Experience Staff in making our YMCA the most welcoming place for members and butterflies. We are looking for volunteers to help with the Butterfly Garden located on the YMCA grounds. Volunteers complete a variety of tasks depending on personal interest and the garden needs which may include planning, planting, weeding, watering and other light general maintenance. This role is ideal for those wanting to spend time outside, looking for the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and putting their green thumbs to work. It's also a great project to learn about and broaden gardening skills and knowledge. It is also designed for community service hour seekers to fulfill school or non-legal requirements. HOW TO REGISTER: Scroll down to HOLD A POSITION and click on the blue VOLUNTEER button next to Butterfly Garden Volunteer - I'm Interested in Volunteering! A member of the Volunteer Staff will reach out to you to schedule an interview to discuss the volunteer role, necessary training, and to discuss activities and schedules. Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Y.
