Highland County YMCA
Our Day Campers will be tending our Y vegetable garden this summer with the help of a few Garden Club Volunteers! This spring, we are in need of a crew of volunteers to help clear an patch of land in the back of the Y, build raised beds for their "crop", and help the campers prepare the soil for planting. We will put in a variety of vegetables plants and the campers will have the chance to water and tend to them over the summer season. We can't wait to see what they will harvest from the generosity of our volunteers' work! If you would like to roll up your sleeves, get a little dirty and help make our garden come to life we want YOU! TO REGISTER: Scroll down to HOLD A POSITION and click on the blue VOLUNTEER button next to Garden Club Volunteer - I'm Interested in Volunteering! A member of the Volunteer Staff will reach out to you to schedule an interview to discuss the volunteer role and activities. Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Y.
To foster healthy bodies, minds and spirits by working together to create a thriving garden that will inspire day campers, members and our community to move, grow and seek healthy options for food and nutrition.
