Clippard YMCA
Do you love basketball? Want to help kids, ages 3-10, learn to love it too? We have many volunteer opportunities for our winter basketball program. Coaches are needed to teach the fundamentals of basketball, good sportsmanship and to lead their teams in practice and in games. The season will run from October 12th-December 5th. Age Groups 3-4 will practice and play during on Saturday; Age Group 5-10 will practice during the week and play on Saturdays. HOW TO REGISTER: 1. If you received an invitation to coach and have spoken to Joey Allinder, Sports Director, scroll down to HOLD A POSITION and select BASKETBALL COACH - TEAM # (whichever team you are assigned) and click the blue volunteer button to register. 2. If you have not spoken to a Y Staff member: Scroll down to HOLD A POSITION and click on the blue VOLUNTEER button with BASKETBALL COACH- I'M INTERESTED IN COACHING! A member of the Volunteer Staff will reach out to you to schedule a time to discuss the volunteer role, necessary background check, training and logistics of the league. Join us on Thursday, October 29 from 6 pm - 7:30 pm for our Trunk or Treat Boo Fest Event! Community members and local businesses are invited to head to the Clippard Y, decorate their cars, bring candy, and get ready to pass out lots of treats as lots of neighborhood costumed children parade by. Volunteers are crucial to making this event a smashing time for our community. We are also looking for event volunteers to help with set up, passing out goodies, and helping with games and activities. Event volunteers should arrive at 5pm to help with set up. Trunk or Treat Car Hosts should arrive at 5:30. TO REGISTER YOUR TRUNK AND TO LET US KNOW YOU WILL PARTICIPATE: Scroll down to the bottom of this page and click on the blue volunteer button next to Trunk or Treat Car Host! On Saturday, November 21, caring people from across Colerain will come together to make our community a better place and lend a helping hand to neighbors in need! This community-wide effort is led by People Working Cooperatively, in partnership with the Colerain Fire Department and Side By Side. Volunteers will help low-income, elderly, and disabled homeowners prepare their homes for winter by completing seasonal projects that can make a big difference—especially for homeowners with physical limitations. No experience is needed, and volunteers of all ages and skill levels are welcome! We're looking for teams to join us! Gather your friends, family, coworkers, church group, team, or organization and come ready to serve. 📍 Meet: Colerain Senior Center ⏰ Arrival: 8:30 AM 🙌 Give Back: 9:00 AM–Noon Join Us for the After Party! Facility Volunteers assist our YMCA Facility Technicians and Member Experience Staff in making our YMCA the most welcoming place. We are looking for volunteers to help with the beautification and maintenance of our facility. Volunteers complete a variety of tasks depending on personal interest and Y needs which may include sprucing up the lobby and fitness centers, assisting with towel service, outside beautification activities such as landscaping maintenance and other simple light maintenance tasks. This role is ideal for those wanting to provide positive customer service while lending a helping hand. It is also designed for community service hour seekers to fulfill school or non-legal requirements. HOW TO REGISTER: A. This volunteer opportunity is designed for high school students with disabilities to gain meaningful, hands-on work experience in a supportive and inclusive environment. Volunteers will assist our facility team in daily operations that ensure our building is safe, welcoming, and clean for all members of our community. Key Responsibilities: Support basic facility cleaning and maintenance tasks (e.g., wiping equipment, restocking supplies, sweeping, organizing spaces). Assist with indoor and outdoor upkeep such as gym, wellness center, lobby, and grounds. Help set up and break down for events or classes. Collaborate with staff and other volunteers to maintain a safe and accessible environment. Participate in job-readiness and soft-skill development opportunities as coordinated with Project LIFE instructors. Represent the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility at all times. Campaign Volunteers help strengthen the Y’s Annual Campaign and connect more people to the programs and opportunities it makes possible. There’s more than one way to get involved. Whether you enjoy connecting with people, showing appreciation, sharing the impact of the Y, or helping spread the word, you choose the role that feels right for you. What Campaign Volunteers Do: - Thank donors. Call or write to people who have already given. No ask—just gratitude. It’s a simple and meaningful way to get started. - Share the impact. Help others understand what their support makes possible by sharing stories and examples from your Y community. - Spread the word. Share campaign posts, forward an email, or talk about the campaign with people in your community. - Make calls. If you enjoy connecting with people, we’ll provide names, guidance, and support to help you get started. - Make the ask—if you want to. Group Exercise Volunteers and Class Champions support YMCA instructors in making classes welcoming, energetic, and engaging for all participants. Volunteers assist with greeting and connecting with members, especially those new to class, as well as helping stage or set up equipment, supporting anyone arriving late, and maintaining a clean and safe exercise space. With instructor approval, volunteers may also demonstrate movements, lead routines, or offer one-on-one encouragement during class. This role is perfect for anyone who enjoys fitness, motivating others, and creating a sense of belonging. Volunteers are fully supervised by YMCA staff. Because of the structure of this program, this role is reserved for active YMCA members. Coaches are needed to teach the fundamentals of football, good sportsmanship and to lead their teams in practice and in games. The season will run from October 13th through December 5th. All teams will practice for 45 minutes on Wednesday or Thursday and then play their game on Saturday. HOW TO REGISTER: 1.
