Join the M.E. Lyons YMCA Fourth of July Parade Crew! Get ready for one of the BIGGEST and most fun celebrations of the summer! The M.E. Lyons YMCA is hitting the streets for the Fourth of July Parade, and we want YOU, your family, and your patriotic spirit to join us! ❤️🤍💙 Help us decorate the bus, wave to the crowd, spread Y spirit, and celebrate our amazing community together. Dress in your favorite red, white, and blue gear and get ready for a morning full of fun, music, smiles, and community pride! 🎉 Parade Details & Route 📅 Saturday, July 4 🕙 Parade Begins at 10:00 AM The parade begins at Beechmont Fire Station #6 (Anderson Township Operations Center) and travels west on Beechmont, ending at Anderson Towne Center (Kroger). 🚌 YMCA Bus Decorating Meet at the YMCA at 8:00 AM to help decorate the bus before heading to the parade lineup area. 🚶 Parade Walkers Meet-Up Walkers should meet behind the Sheriff’s Office at 7970 Beechmont Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45255, Meet between 8:45 AM – 9:15 AM ⚠️ Important Reminder: Beechmont traffic closes promptly at 9:30 AM, so please arrive on time! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🚗 Parking & Drop-Off Info 🚦 Recommended Drop-Off Area: Intersection near Ollie’s & Raising Cane’s, 7900 Beechmont Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45255 🅿️ YMCA Parking: Limited transportation is available from the YMCA to Lot C. If parking at the YMCA, please notify Bridget Behrmann as soon as possible. 🅿️ Parking Near Parade Start: • Forestville Baptist (7-minute walk) • Currito (4-minute walk) • Immaculate Heart (8-minute walk) 🅿️ Parking Near Parade End: • Anderson High School • Anderson Hills Church 🚍 Shuttle Service: Available from 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM from end-of-parade parking locations to the parade start. Make a splash while making a difference! Join us for the World’s Largest Swim Lesson and Pool Event on Thursday, June 25 from 1 to 4 pm! Help us create an unforgettable day of water safety, family fun, and community connection! We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join the excitement! We are recruiting for two types of activities. 🎉 Pool Deck Activity Volunteers: Great for those who want to stay dry, love fun, music, and community energy. Perfect for volunteers who enjoy engaging with families and keeping the excitement going all day long! Help bring the pool deck to life by: * Leading games and family-friendly activities * Assisting with food and refreshment stations * Welcoming participants and cheering on swimmers * Helping with setup, decorations, and cleanup * Creating a fun and positive atmosphere for everyone 🏊 In-the-Water Swim Lesson Volunteers (Swim lessons will take place the last 15 minutes of each hour.) This role is ideal for volunteers who are comfortable in the water, enjoy working with children, and want to help promote water safety in a meaningful way. Volunteers in the pool will: * Assist YMCA swim instructors during lessons * Encourage and support young swimmers * Help participants feel safe and confident in the water * Celebrate milestones and successes with swimmers 💙 Why Volunteer? Help children gain confidence and learn lifesaving water-safety skills while supporting a fun, welcoming community event. Volunteers can earn service hours, build leadership experience, and be part of a worldwide movement promoting water safety awareness.
