Camp Ernst
Everyone is welcome to register for our inaugural one day program celebrating all abilities! In conjunction with All Abilities Sports NKY we will spend the afternoon sampling camp activities such as horseback riding, archery, creeking, s'mores, sports and games, and more. Volunteers will assist with activities and serve as family guides. Sunday, September 20, 2025 Event time: 1-5pm Volunteer check in and orientation: 12-1pm TO REGISTER: Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the blue VOLUNTEER button. The system will walk you through creating an account and registering for this fantastic event! For first time volunteers, click on Register Now. For returning volunteers, Click on Login. Our goal is to match your passion, interests and skills with our needs and when we do, we are able to make a huge impact for our campers and our community! Our goal is to match your passions with our needs and when we do, we are able to make a huge impact for our campers and our community! Volunteers are needed to assist with a variety of programs. Are you looking to remain involved with YMCA Camp Ernst as alumni? Join the Centennial Planning Committee and work together to plan the year of engagement and reunion activities for Camp Ernst alumni. Campaign Volunteers help strengthen the Y’s Annual Campaign and connect more people to the programs and opportunities it makes possible. There’s more than one way to get involved. Whether you enjoy connecting with people, showing appreciation, sharing the impact of the Y, or helping spread the word, you choose the role that feels right for you. What Campaign Volunteers Do: - Thank donors. Call or write to people who have already given. No ask—just gratitude. It’s a simple and meaningful way to get started. - Share the impact. Help others understand what their support makes possible by sharing stories and examples from your Y community. - Spread the word. Share campaign posts, forward an email, or talk about the campaign with people in your community. - Make calls. If you enjoy connecting with people, we’ll provide names, guidance, and support to help you get started. - Make the ask—if you want to. Asking for donations is just one way to help, and it’s completely your choice. You choose how you want to help. You’ll never be assigned a fundraising role you aren’t comfortable with. We’ll Support You Along the Way You won’t be handed a script and expected to figure it out on your own. Every volunteer receives the Campaigner Playbook and training, and Y staff will be there to provide guidance, resources, and support throughout the campaign. Ready to Get Started? Volunteers help maintain our active horse ranch! Duties include assisting with maintenance projects such as cleaning stall and upkeep of the stables, assisting with the care of the horses and supporting activities held involving the horses.
