We’re looking for a volunteer to help lead our weekly Bible Study group—a space where members of all denominations are welcome to gather, reflect, and grow together. This role includes setting up the space for each session, guiding the discussions, and communicating any schedule updates with participants. Are you ready to lend a hand to make Gamble-Nippert YMCA a better place? We are always in need of help with small projects from painting, to taking out recycling, to minor repairs. Facility volunteers strive to make the Y a welcoming environment as they assist with light cleaning, simple landscaping projects and other beautification projects all year round. We would welcome new people with skills and/or the desire to help refresh and renew our Y so that all people feel welcome in our place. Fitness Center Attendants will have the opportunity to welcome members to the facility, help with questions, and maintain the upkeep of the area (wipe down machines, refill supplies, etc.). This position is perfect if you have an encouraging personality and an eye for details. Volunteer hours are flexible and available 7 days a week. HOW TO REGISTER: A. Girls on the Run inspires individuals of all abilities to discover, build, and grow their self-confidence. Together, they experience a sense of belonging and connection as a team. Volunteer coaches facilitate lessons that blend physical activity with life skill development, including managing emotions, fostering friendships, and expressing empathy. At the end of the season, the team completes a Community Impact Project and a 5K together, which provides a tangible sense of accomplishment and sets a confident mindset into motion. Fall 2025 Details: The fall 2025 season will be held Sept. 8 - Nov. 15, with our celebratory 5K on 11/15. Our planning process is roughly divided into three sections: Fall 2025 Site application opens 3/24/25 - for schools, community centers, churches, and parks planning to host a team. Coach application opens 6/2/25 – this link will be sent via email to anyone who is listed as a coach on the site application. Coach trainings – once a coach application has been submitted, online training can be completed in June and July with in-person sessions in August. Do you love Flag Football? Want to help kids, ages 5-12, learn to love it too? We have many volunteer opportunities for our summer Flag Football program. Coaches are needed to teach the fundamentals of football, good sportsmanship and to lead their teams in practice and in games. The season will run from July 7th through August 30th. All teams will practice for 45 minutes on Monday or Wednesday and then play their game on Saturday. All games and practices will be held at Clippard YMCA. HOW TO REGISTER: 1. If you received an invitation to coach and have spoken to Nick Hoyt, Gamble-Nippert Sports Director, scroll down to HOLD A POSITION and select FLAG FOOTBALL COACH - ASSIGNED BY Y STAFF and click the blue volunteer button to register. 2. Pack to School Event Saturday, August 2nd Volunteers needed from 8:30am - 12:30pm, multiple shifts available. As part of our YMCA School Supply Drive, we’re hosting a Backpack Packing Day to prepare donated school supplies for distribution to local students in need. We’re calling on volunteers to help us sort supplies, fill backpacks, and get everything ready for the upcoming school year. Your time and energy will make a direct impact on children in our community, helping ensure they start the school year with confidence and the tools they need to succeed. Whether you can stay for an hour or the whole event, your support is appreciated! Volunteers of all ages are welcome—bring your friends, family, or coworkers and join us in making a difference! Volunteer shifts: Set-Up Crew, 8:30am – 10:00am, Help unload supplies, Set up packing stations, Organize items by type (folders, crayons, etc.) Backpack Stuffers, 9:45am – 11:15am, Fill backpacks according to supply lists, Restock supply tables as needed, Label and sort completed backpacks Wrap-Up & Delivery Prep, 11:00am – 12:30pm, Finalize packing, Organize backpacks by age/school, Help with light clean-up, Prep for distribution or storage Full Event Shift, 8:30am – 12:30pm, For volunteers who want to stay the entire time and help with all parts of the event TO REGISTER.... The Y is looking for volunteers who would like to share their joy of this fun filled game with other members and friends. The Cincinnati YMCA Synchrogators is a premier synchronized swimming program featuring swimmers from all over the tristate area. Volunteers assist the team in a variety of capacities at meets, practices or with special projects. Beginning this fall 2022, we will use this system, VolunteerMatters, to register for ALL volunteer activities instead of Sign Up Genius. ANYONE who plans to volunteer at the YMCA must create a volunteer account in VolunteerMatters. By creating this account, all volunteers are able to complete the Y's Volunteer Relationship Agreement & Waiver of Liability and acknowledge the Child Protection Policy & Child Abuse Reporting Procedures. Thank you in advance for helping the Y to create a safe and welcoming environment for swimmers, volunteers, and staff. Unlike Sign Up Genius, volunteers must make INDIVIDUAL accounts with unique emails addresses in VolunteerMatters. Water Fitness Assistant Volunteers support our Water Fitness Instructors in creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for all participants. Volunteers help with greeting members, setting up and putting away equipment, and maintaining a clean, organized space. With instructor approval, volunteers may also assist with demonstrating movements, supporting individual participants, or leading portions of the class. All volunteer activities are supervised by YMCA staff to ensure a positive and safe experience for everyone involved. 💦If you enjoy fitness, community, and being in the water, this could be a great way to get involved! Westwood Second Saturdays is a volunteer-run monthly street party in the heart of the Westwood Historic Business District. These themed street parties include craft beer, music, entertainment, and activities for all ages! Join the YMCA booth to help create crafts and lead kids through some fun games! Volunteers are needed from 4:30pm - 10pm to help with set up, crafts and games, and clean up. Y Gardening Volunteers assist our YMCA Member Experience Staff in making our YMCA the most welcoming place for members and our neighbors. We are looking for volunteers to help with the Y Garden located on the YMCA grounds. Volunteers complete a variety of tasks depending on personal interest and the garden needs which may include planning, planting, weeding, watering and other light general maintenance. This role is ideal for those wanting to spend time outside, loving the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and putting their green thumbs to work. It's also a great project to learn about and broaden gardening skills and knowledge. It is also designed for community service hour seekers to fulfill school or non-legal requirements.
