Campbell County Boo Fest: Friday, October 24th, 6pm - 8pm Join us at Campbell County Y for a fun fall fest with the family! Volunteers are needed to help with set up, games, and clean up. This is a great volunteer opportunity for the whole family! Volunteers needed: Set up 4:00pm - 6pm Food Volunteer 5pm - 8pm Registration 5:30pm - 7:30pm Game Volunteer 5:45pm - 8pm Floated 6pm - 8pm Clean up 8pm - 9pm TO REGISTER: Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on the blue VOLUNTEER button. Facility Volunteers assist our YMCA Facility Technicians and Member Experience Staff in making our YMCA the most welcoming place. We are looking for volunteers to help with the beautification and maintenance of our facility. Volunteers complete a variety of tasks depending on personal interest and Y needs which may include sprucing up the lobby and fitness centers, assisting with towel service, outside beautification activities such as landscaping maintenance and other simple light maintenance tasks. This role is ideal for those wanting to provide positive customer service while lending a helping hand. It is also designed for community service hour seekers to fulfill school or non-legal requirements. HOW TO REGISTER: A. A member of the Volunteer Staff will reach out to you to schedule an interview to discuss the volunteer role, necessary background check and training. B. Group Exercise Volunteers and Class Champions support YMCA instructors in making classes welcoming, energetic, and engaging for all participants. Volunteers assist with greeting and connecting with members, especially those new to class, as well as helping stage or set up equipment, supporting anyone arriving late, and maintaining a clean and safe exercise space. With instructor approval, volunteers may also demonstrate movements, lead routines, or offer one-on-one encouragement during class. This role is perfect for anyone who enjoys fitness, motivating others, and creating a sense of belonging. Volunteers are fully supervised by YMCA staff. The Campbell County YMCA is looking for individuals who love to make the pool a cleaner place by helping tidy things up around the pool. Volunteers will assist the Lifeguards during their shift. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in sharing their passion for aquatics and cleanliness. Seeking volunteers to help with safety around the water by providing a helping hand to our hard-working lifeguards. Volunteers also help set up and clean up equipment/pool deck as needed. Volunteers are fully supervised by Lifeguards at all times and provide assistance as needed. The Y is looking for volunteers who would like to share their joy of swimming and cleaning with other members and friends. This position is perfect if you love the water and want to help keep the pool free of debris. Volunteer hours are flexible and available 5 days a week. HOW TO REGISTER: A. We are looking for volunteers to help with the Y Garden located on the YMCA grounds. Volunteers complete a variety of tasks depending on personal interest and the garden needs which may include planning, planting, weeding, watering and other light general maintenance. This role is ideal for those wanting to spend time outside, loving the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and putting their green thumbs to work. It's also a great project to learn about and broaden gardening skills and knowledge. It is also designed for community service hour seekers to fulfill school or non-legal requirements.
