Fun with Fitness Group Leaders are vital in advancing the Y’s mission by building community through movement and meaningful social experiences. These volunteers help organize and lead gatherings where members can dance, connect, and have fun in a welcoming and inclusive environment. As a volunteer, you’ll have opportunities to grow your leadership skills, explore your personal passions, and share your energy with others. Each group is centered around shared interests and is guided by a volunteer leader who helps coordinate activities and provides ongoing support. If you enjoy fitness, love bringing people together, and want to inspire joy through movement, this could be a fantastic volunteer opportunity for you. Because of the structure of this program, this role is reserved for active YMCA members. Hospitality-Facility Volunteers assist our YMCA Member Experience Staff in making our YMCA the most welcoming place. We are looking for volunteers to help with the beautification and maintenance of our facility. Volunteers complete a variety of tasks depending on personal interests and Y needs, which may include assisting with welcome center check-in, sprucing up the lobby and fitness centers, assisting with towel and beverage services, and other simple light maintenance tasks. This role is ideal for those wanting to provide a positive member experience while lending a helping hand. It is also designed for students seeking community service hours to fulfill school or non-legal requirements. For this role, you are required to participate at least 2 days per week for at least 4 weeks. HOW TO REGISTER: A. First, Schedule an INTERVIEW: Scroll down to HOLD A POSITION and click on the blue VOLUNTEER button next to Hospitality-Facility Volunteer - I'm Interested in Volunteering! A member of the Volunteer Staff will reach out to you to schedule an interview to discuss the volunteer role, the necessary background check, and training. B. Then, you will be scheduled a Position AFTER your interview: Once your interview is complete and a Y staff member will assign you to the position, HOLD A POSITION - Hospitality-Facility Volunteer- Assigned. Help the Y tell its story! As a volunteer, you will recruit and assist as many members as possible, to take our Impact Survey. The data we collect will allow the Y to tell our story to funders, evaluate programming needs for the future, and help us support our growing communities! While parents focus on their own health in the fitness center, volunteers work alongside YMCA staff to ensure kids are safe, cared for, and inspired through fun activities and imaginative play. This role is a meaningful way to support families, spark children’s imaginations, and strengthen our community. Join the excitement of the fastest growing sport in America - pickleball! A fun blend of badminton, tennis, and ping pong, pickleball is easy to learn and enjoyable for all ages. We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to share their love of the game with YMCA members and friends. Volunteers will help introduce new players to the basics, organize matches, and create a fun, active environment for all participants. This is a great way to stay active, meet new people, and be part of a sport that’s bringing communities together. This unique volunteer opportunity is designed exclusively for college students completing course-required service learning or internship hours through a pre-approved assignment with the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati. As a College Service Learning Volunteer, you’ll be placed at a designated YMCA branch for a contracted term during the academic year. Your role will be tailored to align with both your academic goals and personal passions, while supporting the Y’s mission to strengthen community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Volunteer activities will vary and may include programming support, community outreach, youth engagement, or wellness initiatives—each designed in collaboration with your branch supervisor. Scheduling is flexible and determined on a case-by-case basis. Eligibility Requirements: You must be a current college student seeking credit through a formal course or program. You must have completed an interview with either: *Jack Estael, Community Executive Director of Central Parkway YMCA, or *Stephanie Togneri, Sr. Director of Volunteer Engagement, YMCA of Greater Cincinnati.
