Do you have a passion for reading the Bible and enjoy sharing your thoughts and insights with others? Volunteers are needed to coordinate the weekly Bible Study group. We are looking for someone who will set up the tables for group, lead each group session, and notify participants of schedule changes. Persons of all denominations are welcome. Bible Study meets on Thursdays 9:15-11:30 am. If you are interested in helping, register below. Do you love B.I.N.G.O and enjoy having a good time with neighbors and friends? Here is your chance to volunteer in a fun-filled place! Bingo Runners are needed to help organize bingo cards, greet all members, call back numbers to the Caller and makes sure all members abide by rules and stipulations. Bingo Callers are responsible for running the games and calling the numbers. A microphone is provided t help project your voice. Bingo takes place on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. If you are interested in helping, register below. Help set up tables, greet all players, organize prizes and makes sure all members have a good time! You will introduce new people to BUNCO, and assist players adhere to the rules. Volunteers may assist with welcoming the participants, staging equipment, as well as the sanitation and cleanup of the exercise space. Volunteers will participate in the chair volleyball game, help keep score and assist new players in learning the rules of the game. Volleyball takes place on Mondays 12:45-2:15pm. Comfort Quilters bring comfort to those who utilize Ronald McDonald House Cincinnati as well as other community agencies (St. E NICU, Women’s Crisis Shelter, & more) by creating and sewing quilts. Volunteers are needed to help serve on a leadership team/Steering Committee. This team prepares materials for the monthly meeting and assist set up and tear down of meeting room. This includes hanging and taking down quilts on display at meeting, delivery of quilts that are turned in, and assisting in tasks that may be specific to leading the meeting. Volunteers meet at the Boone County Library (Main branch) the fourth Monday of the Month 9a-3p and the Hebron branch the third Thursday of the month 9a -3 p.m. If you are interested in helping, register below. Responsible for greeting/registering all players, organize prizes and ensuring players adhere to rules/regulations. This Euchre group is not a teaching group. Volunteers will assist the Class instructors and trainers during their fitness classes. Volunteers may assist with welcoming the participants, staging equipment, as well as the sanitation and cleanup of the exercise space. Volunteers participate in the class and may, if approved by the instructor, assist individual members and demonstrate positions or actions when needed. Volunteers are fully supervised by Y Staff members. Classes occur Tuesday through Fridays. See activity center calendar for times. HOW TO REGISTER: A. A member of the Volunteer Staff will reach out to you to schedule an interview to discuss the volunteer role, necessary background check and training. B. Volunteers help pack food for seniors who are enrolled in the Federal Supplemental Food Program. Each program participant receives 2 bags of food that is packed and distributed at the senior center every month. This activity usually occurs on the third Monday of the month. HOW TO REGISTER: A. First, Schedule an INTERVIEW: Scroll down to HOLD A POSITION - Commodities Volunteer- I'm Interested! and click on the blue VOLUNTEER button. A member of the Volunteer Staff will reach out to you to schedule an interview to discuss the volunteer role, necessary background check and training. B. Then, the Y Staff will Assign you a Position on the Commodities Volunteer Team: Once your interview is complete, you will be assigned a position on the Commodities Team and be given a schedule for participation and instructions on how to record your hours when you arrive.
